What is Ajapa Financial Club (AFC)?
The Ajapa Financial Club is conceived as an adjunct to the existing education curriculum. The principle behind the program is to utilise the appropriate local context and materials to deliver the content. We have developed a financial education curriculum tailored to young people designed to teach good financial management skills.
How do I register for AFC?
You can register for AFC at your participating school, or register online as a stand-alone student by clicking this link
What is the cost of joining the club?
The joining fee for a registered stand alone member is N5,000 a year. Stand-alone members are entitled to three Money Books and a Tortoise Bank.
Members registered with participating private schools pay a membership fee of N3,500 per term. The fee covers three Money Books, a Tortoise Bank and weekly tuition by an Ajapa Financial Club Facilitator at your school.
Members registered through participating public schools receive the tuition highly subsidized by AJapa World and partners, as such, they are not required to pay membership fees
When is payment due?
For stand-alone members, Payments should be made during the registration process online. For members joining in participating private schools, payment should be made at the start of the term.
When does the club meet?
The club is held at the designated club days at participating schools. Stand-alone members can meet with other AFC members at club events or on set of the Ajapa Money Show.
Do you have material that we can download?
There is downloadable material for club members and portals for stand-alone members to make submissions.
Is it possible to purchase money club videos on a disc from you?
You cannot currently purchase the Ajapa Money Show on DVD. However you can tune in to watch the show on NTA 2 on Mondays at 6pm, and the repeat show on Saturdays at 9
How will I receive my Kit?
Your kit will be delivered to the mailing address you provide on your member’s registration form; if you register through a school, your kit will be delivered to your school.
Do club members have to bring anything to meetings?
Club members are expected to bring their money books to club sessions every week.
How are students grouped?
Members are grouped according to their year of study in school
Who are the club Facilitators?
Facilitators are teachers trained in financial literacy by Ajapa World instructors. Each facilitator leads club sessions according to lesson plans.
Will I get a refund if I need to cancel?
Membership fees are non refundable
How doI open and Ajapa Money Club mobile money account?
All Ajapa Financial Club Members are entitled to a mobile money account. When filling out the AFC Registration form, record the phone number you wish to use for your mobile money account. Ajapa Financial club wild et up a mobile money account for you.
How can I get on the Ajapa Money club TV show?
You will have an opportunity to register your interest to appear on the show, you be notified if you are selected.
